Used the FNB App and was able to make a payment plus send an ewallet. Strange how that worked when the server is down. Or does a separate server run the mobile app?

its 07 Dec 2015 around 14:30 and apparently the 'system' has been down for more than 2 hours now. FNB.co.za is up and one can log in but one can not perform/utilize any services. 'The main server in Jhb has crashed' is the answer. No branches is able to provide the services either.... I find this highly concerning that a financial institution like this do not have the high availibility/contniuenty plannning in place to ensure uninterrupted service - specially during business hours!

i have spoken to the Technicians and yes they keep saying it is my server but i can log onto all other banks and websites. they ask you to clear this and that and in the end they know it is from them. they say they escalating that was done twice still no response. Really FNB time to switch to a more stable bank. been resting on your laurels. not impressed. and STOP TELLING S IT IS OUR SERVERS IT IS YOURS.

According to the server status check FNB is UP and reachable, and probably down just for me. Nonsense! I can't get into a single one of FNB's links - why would it be down "just for me"? FNB, lately you have been offline more than you have been online! Looks like your IT department needs a revamp! Sort it out please. Its giving you a bad name. As it is, the only reason I'm with you is because its the only way to get money out of my Paypal account into my personal bank account.

The FNB online banking consultant just spent 15 minutes trying to convince me the problem was at MY end before she finally admitted that their servers have been down for days now and their Verified by Visa facility is faulty and she has no idea when it will be fixed ... why the smoke and mirrors FNB?

What I don't appreciate is being lied to by these people ... honesty and transparency is the best policy, yet their service consultants have obviously been briefed to fob the customer off with a bullsh!t story, which I'm sure many people have swallowed I'm not an idiot FNB, so don't insult me by treating me like one... that makes me madder than the fact that I haven't been able to do any online banking or secure online shopping since Sunday!

If you are using a wireless network, I suggest you reset your router. Somehow my router setting were corrupted, when I restored (or reinstalled) router backup or default setting all my missing sites returned.
