Browser Related Problems

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

This is a weird issue: on my desktop computer, IE11 crashes every time I attempt to open https://www.fitbit.com/foods/log. And only that page as other pages on the site present no problem!

This is apparently an issue only for IE, as I have no trouble opening that page or logging in my meals using Firefox or Chrome.

Won't sync. you came up with a great idea but the implementing is not so good. All these people having issues and it is like you have our money so you cant even bother to reply? Very dissapointing. This is how you loose customers. Word of mouth is ones best advertising,,, gives the other way also.

When I set up my account ... Last December 12 to e exact I put in the wrong email address. I have tried calling on numerous occasions. I have never been able to reach customer service. I have sent emails asking how to correct this error and to date never a response. My tools icon is useless. Poor customer service and an over priced heart monitor. It needs lots of improvement and I would not recommend to anyone.

I've removed FitBit Connect, restarted, reinstalled FitBit Connect. I consistantly get "An Unknown Error Has Occured". I thought maybe the app was down, but from what it seems on this site "FitBit.com is up and reachable - It's probably just down for you.."

for the past three days, I cannot sync my fitbit. says I need to update the app (android) but if I try, then it will not recognize the bluetooth so cannot find the deive and cannot update the app. If I choose to repair the bluetooth from within the app, it will not link. Even if I go to devices in settings on the tablet and try to pair the fitbit with the tablet there it says it cannot find a device to pair. Fitbit posted this in the community help link - We are working to resolve an issue with the Fitbit Dashboard not loading for some users. Clearing cache or hard refreshing your browser (hold Shift + click reload) should resolve this issue.
The shift + reload worked for me ! However I had to repeat it after I closed and reopened google chrome

I was having the same problem with the Fitbit app on my android saying fitbit.com was down for maintenance. Started around 8:00pm MT 8-Jul-14 but the Fitbit app on my wife's iPhone had no problem syncing with fitbit.com. Then I noticed that the Fitbit app on my android was updated on 8-Jul, right around when it stopped working. I uninstalled an reinstalled and it's fine again. Thanks to those wo suggeste that!

Had sync problem error message from last night to 2pm today. Have latest Fitbit app installed (iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.2) Re-started iPhone and sync problem disappeared.
