We have tried pinging EDF Energy website using our server and the website returned the above results. If edfenergy.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access EDF Energy - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Once again, as on Friday 12/09, EDF is down! When trying to log in keep getting the message: "This feature of MyAccount is temporarily out of action. Please try again later." How are you supposed to upgrade? Have already tried going through livechat, I am now considering scrapping EDF altogether and getting a different supplier!

I have spent two hours trying first to get access to the site, then trying to submit my readings to no avail. I tried to talk to someone but couldn't post my reply. iView times out; no cached content. Apparently the EDF site is up and running!

EDF site is down - it loads up on screen ok but logging in is a big issue tonight!

Very slow to login to my account, timed out. It was the same a couple of days ago. I really wonder what is going on.

Unable to access the 'my account' section on the EDF Energy website. Have tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE) on windows and Mac machines on multiple connections including 4G. Trying to submit meter readings and pay bills, do EDF not want my money?

Main page is slow but loads so this website is correct in the fact that the website is up, it is just impossible to do anything with your account.

Does not appear as if i can login in to MyAccount... page times out, but after hitting refresh/back numerous times, i do appear to be logged in... cant actually do anything though. Trying to submit meter reading and pay a bill, but can't do it. Looks like i will have to listen to the automated message phone call i get next time and try to do things that way :o(

cannot log on to the site, it allows me to enter my details, then redirects me after around 2 minutes waiting to the SAP netweaver portal. not good when you are trying to pay your bill EDF...

Tina Mason · 19 June 2014 - 05:36
United Kingdom · PlusNet Technologies · Chrome 35.0 on Windows

Site itself is up, but accessing my account - to pay a bill or anything else - is virtually unusable. I waited nearly two minutes for it to load. Started filling in my payment details, when the cursor skipped to the wrong box. I made the mistake of hitting backspace to delete the mis-entered characters, which of course had the effect of returning me to the login page. Now waited another two mins to try to get back into my account...

Have tried to log for the last couple of days and no luck. I can't believe that such a big company can't sort their IT problems.

I'm getting the iView error as listed above. Have tried on pc and mobile and gone though internet explorer and firefox - rubbish... again

Marcus Gardner · 23 December 2013 - 04:23

Contacting EDF energy is impossible by email, it keeps timing out the session "unexpectedly". This has been going on for at least two days.

Maple Scrupp · 5 November 2013 - 04:53

Cant access website tariff change in My Account. Been like this for days and they never respond to quesions. Are these same managers about to build a nuclear power station???

Nairn Kennedy · 29 October 2013 - 09:35

Same today. Can't get the form to respond. After (not before) I fill in the long form, it complains about "technical issues".

Damian Carter · 22 October 2013 - 14:17

When accessing my account says "The iView has timed out. There is no cached content to display. Click 'Reload' to retrieve updated content. You may need to wait for the cache to retrieve the content from the source." Tried flusdns, clearing cache etc.

Al Luicious · 25 April 2013 - 09:43

Filled out the registration twice. Got kicked to "problem loading page" twice. Is this just EDF, or british sites that allow "free" customer service in general?

George Harfleet · 8 April 2013 - 11:32

The EDF website is pretty useless today. Is it ALWAYS going to be this unreliable?

Peter Thompson · 26 February 2013 - 12:29

Same problem as Nicky reports above - iView has timed out

Nicky Scott · 30 December 2012 - 09:04

I just keep getting this error and even though I reload the page it makes no difference. The iView has timed out. There is no cached content to display. Click 'Reload' to retrieve updated content. You may need to wait for the cache to retrieve the content from the source.
