We have tried pinging Dropbox website using our server and the website returned the above results. If dropbox.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Try alternative urls such as db.tt

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

Having a nightmare. and need some help. It seems that all my files have been corrupted. I am using Apple computers. Mine lets me access files, but i can't upload anything using my PC (Windows 7). It uploads for a while, then hangs at "Uploading 12 files, 12, 356kbs, 12 sec remaining". Tried different files, different computers, same problem.

I did think it was just me though, cos I tried Google Drive and got the same results. This is how the zombie apocalypse starts

This sucks and it has been down for several hours from what I can tell... The filp side is that it appears the syncing is still working because if I put a file in one of my folders I can access the file from any of my other devices. But the website is down for sure...

For the past few months I can't get on Dropbox at all. I have even tried using an IP from the States (I'm in Europe). I think I have only been able to get on 2 times. The Photos tab is still turned off, but you can access your photos via the Files tab on dropbox.com or the desktop client. We’re continuing to make a lot of progress restoring full service to all users, and are doing so in careful steps.

About 5% of our users are still experiencing problems syncing from the desktop client, and about 20% of users are having issues accessing Dropbox through our mobile apps. Within a few hours, we’ll be rolling out a change that will further improve things for those users. We’ll give an update after that.

Your files have been safe this entire time. Thanks again for your patience."

Dropbox website on pc is functioning. Have added new files with no problem. Removed the desktop app and tried to download it again from Dropbox site but the setup failed. Down in Thailand too. It start with stop upload photo from my Ipad then I unlink it and try to reinstall but never allow me to log in since. Still got exactly the same access problem which is more than a little frustrating. Since I last posted I have looked into Google Drive and SkyDrive. The first one gives you more 15Gb storage (nice if you need it) and the second 7Gb. I had managed to get up to 7.75Gb storage on Dropbox through referrals so it's almost on par with Skydrive. Anyway, this cloud (pun intended) has a silver lining in that I've found editing docs on SkyDrive integrates better and automatically saves and updates the file to the cloud storage. Web versions of Word, Excel etc let you amend Office files. Maybe I was doing something wrong but in Dropbox I had to download to my PC, amend, save to hard disk and then upload to Dropbox again. That was a bit of a pain and not possible when 'mobile' so Dropbox is now looking like it may have lost a customer.

The website is functioning but Dropbox has blocked usage of the site to fix the real problem which is with the syncing feature. Once they fix the syncing capability all will be restored to normal.

Reporting from Miami, Florida. Dropbox service has been down the whole day. It just won't sync the files. Few minutes ago, it did sync, though. Then after a while, it went down again. This is just crazy. I tried GoogleDrive but then I realized it won't let me edit the files on my phone, so I went back to pray for Dropbox to solve its issue. Hope it won't take too long, I really need the service.
