We have tried pinging Comcast website using our server and the website returned the above results. If comcast.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Comcast - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Can't get to email or Comcast website in Nashua and Hudson NH

Earl Tsui · 8 April 2014 - 18:33

Massive outage in the south florida area. hundreds of thousands of customers DOWN. No ability to dial 911 from Voip services either. No high speed internet, no digital tv...let's call the regulators in Tallahassee this is an outrage.

Butch Andre · 3 April 2014 - 11:04

What's the haps here, Comcast??? I pay close to $200.00 a month for high speed internet and a lot of tv stations I never watch and this morning I can't receive email or send email. Somebody somewhere should sure know SOMETHING! How about an easy to understand explanation PLEASE?

Kathy McKenzie Tocko-peltier · 3 April 2014 - 09:21

My dvr is not taping and I can not check my scheduled programs.

Maureen MacGregor · 22 March 2014 - 16:44

Service on Cape Ann is dropping so often & so hard this afternoon, you'd think Comcast Internet equipment (& whoever is running their NOC) is inebriated.

Just listened to a Comcast VP blow her political gas around on C-SPAN about how the US needs to subsidize Comcast to bring internet to low income customers. They want more $$s, but aren't giving stable service to customers paying almost $200/month for high speed Inet (without premium tv stations).

Carol Markey · 21 March 2014 - 06:13

I cannot receive Comcast emails through either Google Chrome or IE.

Earline McCauley · 18 March 2014 - 19:53

There is always something going wrong with Comcast. I have not been able to open my email for 24 hours. I called and spent over an hour on the phone with someone who was unable to help. Then I was told someone would call me with 24-72 hours. Really? I am seriously thinking about getting of Comcast. I pay this enormous bill for bad service.

Connie Gammiere · 18 March 2014 - 08:19

Having trouble with Comcast email opening. Emails are coming to computer, but can't get them to open without hitting enter 3 or 4 times. Takes forever!

Howard D. Wilkerson · 15 March 2014 - 23:55

Keep getting server and internet not responding. Not sure if it is comcast or something wrong with my computer.

Bruce A. Marshall · 15 March 2014 - 21:00

For the last couple of days ( March 13, 14, 2014 ) my television has been experiencing interrupted service. I will hear a clicking noise and then the picture disappears into a green bar or screen, sound is disrupted, then the picture returns and pixilates into dots. Very annoying. Anyone else experiencing this ? I am connected to Comcast.

Bruce Hansbrough · 20 February 2014 - 14:22

Lost all phone service - everything is dead at the office. Wish I hadn't switched from ATT.

Rosal Casilac · 20 February 2014 - 09:34

Barry High · 15 February 2014 - 11:17

comcast is so slow i can't watch videos constant buffering and no its not my computer

Cyndi Visi · 13 February 2014 - 12:53

I haven't received an incoming email since 2pm this afternoon? Also a client said he had 2 returned emails from me last night? Can someone help me please?

Sylvia Seidenglanz · 12 February 2014 - 22:28

I certainly am having the same problem and then some! I've tried everything and nothing works; thinking of changing companies asap!

Patricia Morris · 11 February 2014 - 19:47

Our internet is up but we've had no television channels for over 2 hours. The website says there are no problems & we can connect to other sites on the web, just have no television and no reason why other than the fact that it's raining or a butterfly flapped its lips in the 3rd world country they outsource technical "support" to after 5pm local time.

Toni Foster · 11 February 2014 - 15:08

Internet speed has been spotty all day. Very unproductive day. Comcast has not reported any issues in Chicago.

Paul Yuhas · 4 February 2014 - 21:01

I have no cable tonight. I at first thought it was because of the current snowstorm. I called comcast customer service and found out they are in Manila, Philipines. Way to go comcast. Service Denver from Manila. How many USA jobs does that that cost?

Norma Lamb · 1 February 2014 - 14:51

Email has been down for two weeks. Spent a couple of hours on the phone with different techs with no positive results. I have none of my addresses as I recently moved and lost the list. I have had other issues with them. They are ripping off America. Im in Alpine, Utah

Greg Pollard · 29 January 2014 - 12:39

My comcast.net email has been down since 9:00 am this morning (1/29/14). Whats the issue. Let us know something.

Marty Wallauer · 29 January 2014 - 11:31

I cannot connect to my email even though the Comcast site says I'm connected. Why???

Liz Sands · 29 January 2014 - 08:43

Getting a message on the site that email and voicemail are currently unavailable (St. Paul, MN)

Barb Beard Passalacqua · 28 January 2014 - 07:29

In Boulder, CO - no emails coming in or going out since last night 1/27….

Jean Snarr · 18 January 2014 - 01:25

Comcast is the worst provider i have ever had. Their ping is so low most of my paid for usage is non existent. That their ping counts are not what they say they are. Well that's what happens when there is no competition...

Larry C Sessions · 11 January 2014 - 17:50

I could live with a slower speed if it was just reliable. These frequent drops and outages are making Comcast unbearable.

Tony Babonas · 11 January 2014 - 01:24

Bloomington, IL, since 3 PM Comcast email sends but does not receive. Outlook, iPhone, Android tablet, nothing works. 1800-comcast on hold for hours.

Terry Strole · 11 January 2014 - 00:26

Takes forever to send a email and many times says slow server. Comcast charges to much and has bad customer service and technical support

Micki Suzanne · 7 January 2014 - 11:45

Day three in southwest Florida. I reduced my "services" to internet only and they screw that up too. No customer service, no honesty, no courteous notice of a problem in my account updates; sure Comcast, let me think it's a problem with my equipment. I work from home; you asshats have become a liability.

Rafal Jadacki · 4 January 2014 - 12:17

I am paying for the Blast option and get 1.5Mb down and ... well 0 up... great!

Susan Rosier · 1 January 2014 - 19:58

Prices go up and internet goes down Go figure. Seems to be a pattern

Cherie Robin Diamantoni Messner · 1 January 2014 - 15:04

internet is working, however my email is not... and hasn't been working for 2 days! Keeps prompting me for my password. My password is correct, I have uninstalled and reinstalled my email program (windows live mail) and I still can not get my email. Also, a side note, I am not receiving my email on my droid either. grrrrrrr

Jeannie Rhodes · 1 January 2014 - 13:08

Comcast will not allow me to sign in to email. The message says my name and password are incompatible.

Moosic Miners · 22 December 2013 - 08:20

my email is not working from outlook express nor can i sign in through comcast.net. anyone else having problems?

Guido Marin · 16 December 2013 - 17:19

My cable service is down I live in pines. Is the outage affecting others?

Michael Haley · 14 December 2013 - 19:34

Can not receive emails, tried outlook 2000, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2012 and even the most reliable old Outlook Express 6. Used all of comcast settings, tried this on all 6 of our computers to no avail I am convinced that comcast has a bit of a problem.

Jennifer Flint · 9 December 2013 - 18:02

Haven't been able to access email for 7 days in Roanoke, Virginia. Same issue on Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Opera. Called it in 4 days ago. Was on chat window for an hour last night. Technician says lots of people are having this problem and it has been kicked up to their highest tier for resolution but no idea when it will be fixed.

Cindy Mankins-Moore · 9 December 2013 - 09:55

Susan Coleman · 5 December 2013 - 14:30

Email: keeps asking me to enter username and password, which i do, takes me to screen to show email, but when try to get into the inbox, it asks for username and password again. I see someone else reported this too. What's up?

Phil Harlan · 5 December 2013 - 06:37

All day long yesterday and today as well, getting that darn box that says "Enter your username and password" - so frustrating. My settings are all fine - am in So Florida. Does anyone know why this happens constantly?

Maria E Mueller · 29 November 2013 - 21:19

Comcast email is not working on IE 10. When I log in, I get redirected to the home page. It's working on Chrome.

Amanda Cantos · 28 November 2013 - 09:11

For THREE WEEKS now the internet has been extremely slow. I thought it was just some sort of maintenance at first but three weeks of slow internet is ridiculous. Internet stops working constantly and I end up refreshing the webpage ever 5 minutes.

Kathie Sweeney · 22 November 2013 - 02:29

pa havent had email access for a week on firefox. Loops back to sign on screen

Randy Martin · 19 November 2013 - 13:49

I can't send emails today. Continue to get a error message. Is someone working on this?

Lynne Frazier · 14 November 2013 - 12:51

I'm in Maryland and cannot access my email through Mozilla Firefox. I can see my loaded inbox but when I click on an email, the screen goes back to my home page. When I tried in Internet Explorer, it worked. I hate IE. What's the problem?

Jay Hebert · 13 November 2013 - 18:01

Comcast shows I have mail but I can't access it. That's not good. Call Darrell Issa he loves this stuff!

Bill Reiter · 13 November 2013 - 16:29

No email... Guess I'll change my primary email to Gmail even though it is a real hassle. All you get from Comcast are lies and promises.

Tracy Carlson Allanson · 13 November 2013 - 15:32

My comcast email (Minneapolis area) has been unavailable all day! When will it be available?

Barbara Simmons · 13 November 2013 - 15:24

Down here in Fla, Comcast is notorious for blowing out every other day. Now I cant access my email and Im expecting important information. I might defect to FiOS. This sucks.

Karol Hammer · 13 November 2013 - 15:22

Intermittent outages every day this week. I'll be working away, then lose Internet for anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 minutes. It seems to be getting worse (more frequent) each day. What's going on??

Tom Sin · 13 November 2013 - 14:51

email down all day in NJ-Comcast excuses really getting on my nerve. BTW X-1 boxes are all back ordered and UNDELIVERABLE at least until after the beginning of the year!! What a sucky company!!!

Sam Martin · 13 November 2013 - 14:30

Comcast email is not only down in a huge area of the US, but they cannot predict when it will be fixed. This is terrible customer service.

Kate Gahs · 13 November 2013 - 14:26

I've been trying to get into my online email account all afternoon here in Maryland and its still not working. I can sign-in and it takes me to the email "cover page" but I keep getting a message that says "Sorry, we were unable to load your email and voicemail. Please try refreshing your browser in a few minutes." On the rare times when refreshing does seem to work and I go to click Email and the stupid link sends me back to Comcast's home page!!! This is so frustrating!!!

Mary Hake · 13 November 2013 - 14:18

Still unable to access my comcast email, all day, in washington state seattle/tacoma area, second time in four days. I can load the main page and it will even let me sign in---but then nothing. I know I have new messages, I just can't get at them. grrrrr... grump, grump, grump. Gah!

Katie Healy Barcelon · 13 November 2013 - 13:53

Here in Colorado Comcast has been down all day. Don't know what is going on!

William Grimes · 13 November 2013 - 13:50

why has internet become so slow was fine two days ago now takes forever to load any web page, even had upgrade week ago and was fine.

Sam Kalter · 13 November 2013 - 13:16

Dear Comcast: Email is down! I miss the slooow response, balky flash player ads/"news", the "Inbox Preview", Mobile version that's faster but you can't move or delete mails on your PC, etc.

David Haas · 13 November 2013 - 12:58

Everytime I click on inbox it takes me to a search page generated by AVG

Jane Gilbert · 13 November 2013 - 12:33

Email has been down all day here in NE Maryland. Email clients don't report connectivity problems, but nothing is downloaded. You can't get in via the web either, and an error message appears acknowledging the problem and stating engineers are working on it.

Kimberly O'Donnell Hale · 13 November 2013 - 11:41

So the Comcast guy said it could take 12 hrs for it to be fixed, and when I asked if I could be notified via text message he said no, I just need to keep checking. Crazy! If it really is out that long I'm going to ask for a credit to my account for the outage.

Kimberly O'Donnell Hale · 13 November 2013 - 11:34

Down 2.5 hrs now, wow. Waiting to speak to a customer service rep to complain; squeaky wheel gets the grease as they say.

Bud Bergstrom · 13 November 2013 - 10:39

Comcast is down on Cape Cod and it looks like most of the major population centers. I am now missing a very important video conference regarding the sale of a product line which I have worked on for six years! But I'm sure Comcast will repay me for the money I have lost - because they are such a wonderful company - a company that could only exist because they are a monopoly.

Fred Ottens · 13 November 2013 - 10:00

Boy do I wish there was an alternative to comcast. They are so incompetent. email is down, yet agai!!!

Mark Booher · 13 November 2013 - 09:51

email down... always has problems... what gets me boiling is outrageous monyhly bill I just paid... looking into local alternate provider... thought monopolies were not legal

Sam Kalter · 13 November 2013 - 08:47

Do not, I repeat, do not use comcast as your primary mail. I did and years later it's the worst tech move I ever made. The reasons THEY SUCK are myriad... it's really a hassle to change your primary address, so JUST DON"T DO IT

Faye Rozier McKenny · 11 November 2013 - 21:23

Comcast email is not functioning. My web page is up however I have not received a new email for two day. Even sent one to myself from another email account but no luck.

Bal Simon · 8 November 2013 - 20:50

I'm having trouble reaching Evernote.com on all devices connected to Comcast. If I go through a proxy service, I can reach Evernote.com so the problem is in the direct channel between Evernote Comcast Me.

Michael Cowan · 7 November 2013 - 00:13

I am in Vancouver Washington and my service keeps dropping and lagging out. Here is a video of us calling Customer Support and having them just drop the call over and over for the last 2 days .. with no way to talk to a person. Sorry, too many calls, good bye.

Craig Koresian · 23 October 2013 - 09:23

Once again, having trouble connecting to my comcast e-mail. Anyone else having issues this morning.

Laura Knerl Cranford · 16 October 2013 - 05:39

Oh... I forgot to say that I have tried to connect to comcast on my computer, but it will not allow me to click on customer service.. it just says... "page unavailable". This is not good customer service

Laura Knerl Cranford · 16 October 2013 - 05:36

What's going on Comcast? My TV cable went out, just a black screen & then it came back about an hour ago but no sound. What's going on with these new boxes?? I have had more problems with my cable since I upgraded in the last 2 weeks then I have had in the last 7 years. Now I'm locked into a 2 yr agreement. They say it's an upgrade... I don't think so. It's more like an down grade. This sucks!! COMCAST!! Fix these problems before you lose another client!! I'm very unsatisfied!!

Tom Bruno · 15 October 2013 - 09:51

Third day this week can't access address book in email. What is going on Comcast?

Sorry, we were unable to load this page. Please try refreshing your browser in a few minutes

Laurette Marceau · 12 October 2013 - 11:18

Unable to access address book here is the message that is being sent: "Sorry, we were unable to load this page". Please try refreshing your browser in a few minutes

Kristin Landfield · 9 October 2013 - 14:18

For the third day this week, I'm able to log onto my comcast account, but not able to click on anything or navigate the site once I'm in. I need to pay my bill. The cursor scrolls all over the page, but not click on anything

Dennis Ruckel · 8 October 2013 - 07:38

I contacted the chat line, useless, and they told me i was the only person to complain. I cannot send anything, no address book, takes 5 minutets to sometimes open e mail. They wanted me to download opera. They are useless. What tf is going on? This is october 8th, anyone else?

Sheryl Swinson · 4 October 2013 - 23:15

Mike Martin · 4 October 2013 - 22:59

Is it just your tv not working? I have the X1 and theres no picture and I rebooted twice and yeah they are not answering.

Patrick Barber · 4 October 2013 - 06:30

this is ridicilous... ! i sure feel bad for anyone who works at home and has Comcast.

Barbara Campbell · 1 October 2013 - 13:29

When I'm asked to verify the last 4 digits of my phone number by pressing one, it's as if my pressing one is not recognized. I never reach customer service. I'm trying to call to ask why my "live streaming tv online" is not working.

Margaret Wyatt · 30 September 2013 - 18:21

What is going on? Internet amazingly slow and have given up, Mail sometimes can't receive sometimes can't send. what on earth are they doing. Have heard from others in the area with Comcast and they are having the same problems. Can't they tell us something?

Bill Edge · 30 September 2013 - 16:32

Comcast is playing games. Had to download the xfinity connect app to receive e-mail on m y android. Now can not copy and paste e-mail addresses on my PC. must enter manually. Thanks for nothing Comcast.

Marcia Edelstein · 29 September 2013 - 13:34

All conncections via comcast are VERY slow here (Palo Alto, CA) all this weekend.

Stephen Loucka · 26 September 2013 - 02:55

Haven't been able to access my Comcast email for over 2 weeks from ANY computer. Called support (big waste of time)... Said they'd call me back in an hour and that was 2 days ago. Good thing is.. switching to Verizon FIOS and on Saturday giving Comcast the big old "Shove it where the sun don't shine".

Barbra Brown Williams · 24 September 2013 - 09:55

Cannot access email from Xfinity homepage... cannot receive email in my Outlook. Has been 15 hours now... wtf???

Claire Moergeli Almquist · 9 September 2013 - 11:05

I called Comcast support off Philippines and was on phone 1 1/2 hours and they still did not fix the speed of my computer, for the last 10 days is has slowed down loading pictures, e-mail messages, etc. WHAT is the problem?

Jim Linton · 6 September 2013 - 20:41

Back up and running in Michigan. I deleted my primary email account in Microsoft Windows Mail because it was the only one that seemed affected. I figured this may have had something to do with Comcast not supporting Port 25. Since they have been working on this for some time and outings have been going on since March, which is when they began their crusade, I decided to delete and create the account over due to a corrupted account.

Under Mail Account Properties I added the following:

Under General Tab - "mail.comcast.net"
Under Servers Tab -" POP3"
Incoming mail (POP3) -" mail.comcast.net"
Outgoing mail (SMTP) - "smtp.comcast.net"
"Checked my server requires authentication box"
Opened "Settings" and selected "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
Under Advanced Tab
Server Port Numbers- Outgoing mail (SMTP) "465" "Leave SSL unchecked"
Incoming mail (POP 3) "110" "Leave SSL unchecked"

I tried all the other outgoing and incoming port numbers suggested online, and checked and unchecked the required SSL boxes. This combination is the same as what was in my original account before the email quit working. After a new account is created, shut down the browser and email program before checking for mail.

George W. Sarkisian · 6 September 2013 - 16:00

Comcast tech support stinks email down for days and has been very slow loading for weeks. Called twice and they said they will have support call me. Still waiting. Ready to switch providers.

James Jamison · 6 September 2013 - 13:57

Comcast's e-Mail servers (POP3) are coming back online in certain areas. Also, try http://m.comcast.net for access. Also, try resolving Incoming 76.96.40.158 (POP3) and Outgoing 68.87.26.155 (SMTP) servers to see if you get mail.comcast and smtp.comcast results matching those IP's. Note to windows users: see the above DNS cache instructions on how to clear your Comcast ISP's cache.

Andrew Brolowski · 6 September 2013 - 13:16

Switched to business class and it's slower and more downtime. Comcast are thieves and liars!

Marie Johnson · 6 September 2013 - 12:55

This statement is getting to be a habit when trying to access my emails "Sorry, we were unable to load your email and voicemail." Please try refreshing your browser in a few minutes. I keep trying but unable to open.

James Jamison · 6 September 2013 - 12:44

Comcast's e-Mail/Voicemail access is temporarily unavailable due to DNS issues and redirecting servers. The outage is not localized and is widespread ranging from East Coast to West Coast. Check for updated status @ online.comcast.net/networkhealth/outagecheck.aspx

Aram Kardzair · 4 September 2013 - 22:21

Cannot access my account. I get our account up but then a Comcast window pops up with flashing colored boxes and prevents me from going any further. I'm sure if I call them they will ACCUSE me of doing something wrong.
