I recently opened a new account with Citibank as I wanted to use it on an overseas trip. I had multiple problems setting up internet banking which I have never had with any other bank. Although I was entering a correct username and password according to the instructions, the fields kept going blank and not letting me progress - very frustrating, and took me 4 days to complete the set up. So then I transferred some money into the account for my trip - and when I went to test the ATM process today by withdrawing some money, guess what? "transaction processing error" and I cant withdraw any money!! Customers of other banks weren't affected at this ATM machine and the Citibank customer service woman said they were experiencing an outage and lots of people hadn't been able to access their money for the past 48hrs. Then when I said that wasn't very satisfactory she said "have a nice day" and hung up - unbelievable!! :(

Rewards site has been a problem since I first signed up over a year ago. Messed up access to my credit card account linked to Thank You acct. Had to change password at least 3 times, won't keep working with previous password. Now credit card account not working due to password. I never had a problem for several years with credit card acct until adding the Thank You Rewards feature...a big mistake in my opinion. I no longer use the linked credit card due to the hassle on their websites, instead I use another card from Citi instead. Today I had to change Thank You password again, site now opens up, but won't display any Gift Card selections, tools, or a few other categories, so I can't redeem my points online! I rate Citibank Online a 1 star on a scale of 1 to 5. as low as it could be. CapitalOne, Chase and Discover never have these problems.

It was completed down 2 hrs. ago. Then it came up & I could log in and see my acct. page - but every time I tried to actually do something (pay my bill, look at my statement, etc.) I'd get an error page. So I called their Tech Line. It too is messed up, with the recorded message skipping and getting stuck on, "I'm sorry" repeating it over & over. So I called the 24hr 800#. Guess what? It couldn't find my acct. and transferred me to customer service. But it was a very curt recording of a message that they were down for "customary maintenance". Uh-huh. Message to hackassholes that may be screwing with the site - you're f#!king things up for those of us trying to pay our bills so we don't wind up in default.

The "Ooops" this should not have happened IS happening because the website now REQUIRES stronger passwords and YOUR OLD ONE is NOT strong enough. IT IS THE WRONG MESSAGE for the problem. I called citibank and they escalated this problem, but it still continues. Naturally, I can't do any of the necessary banking work I need to do. It's not my computer or a browser problem.

I just got on! Tried several times with Chrome and then with Internet Explorer. I just coldn't get into the site. Finally, tried with Firefox and got through on my first try. Site responded quickly with no lagging at all. Finally got my payment made. Printed out extra copies of my payment information... just in case! TRY FIREFOX!
