Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

Depending on auctiva to earn has become downright twisted. I'm paying monthly to twiddle my thumbs. 2 weeks ago there was a problem & I was emailed back that Verizon was to blame, but auctiva was the only website not working properly., so how could that be. Ironically the people I know doing well on ebay, use ebay only to list/post items. Perhaps the shortest path, and the easy path is the best after all.

I am still unable to enter description. Email has been sent to Auctiva but no response.

Edit: I was able to get in touch with auctiva about this problem. There is a new description program. Options include updating the description program (auctiva has instructions) OR use a different internet brower. I have just switched to Google Chrome and problem is solved. I am going to try to do a couple of listing this morning to test. Hope this helps!

Dear Dale - re your comment on the Auctiva situation. Do you work for them or have some other vested interest? Sure, shit happens, but they could at least have 'fessed up and put out a general 'failure' bulletin. And a lot of people DO sell their stuff pretty quickly on eBay and do rely on a SERVICE, which is just what Auctiva have NOT provided today. Empathy Dave - try it...

Auctiva Commerce is where I went to report my issue since I couldn't report it on auctiva's help (no help button) I've been using Auctiva for 6 almost 7 years now, but with paying for a service that you cannot reach when you need help is just crazy! Now that E-Bay offers free schedule listings... I am really thinking about putting my money in my pocket and giving up Auctiva, because yes my listings do sell right away with my Buy It now auctions & it is costing me money by not being able to list. I do agree with all of you that this really sucks for us all right now, but how often does this really happen? I see so many of you ready to just quit them because they are having a problem? In all fairness I rarely have a problem with them and for the small amount they charge, $15 a month, It is well worth it and quite a time saver. They are a company like anyone else using technology that is going to break at some point. I am sure they have people working to get it back up and running for all of us. So quit bitching about all of the money you are losing. You act like your items sell as soon as you post them, when in reality they may never sell or sit on Ebay for months. Have a nice day!

Well, just spent Sunday taking all my photographs to add to my scheduled listings for today. And for hours now on connections. For such a large company which makes so much money in fees from us - this is certainly a rather bad service. I will be certainly asking them for a refund of 25% of my monthly fees I pay them - what a complete waste of my time - something of the cynic in me tells me that they have pulled the plug so that you will have to list after midnight and then pay full ebay listing fees - not the free selection offered to you today. Aye! not good... poor customer service.

They says that only 16 persons have problems, but how we will going to report the problem if we cannot even access the site??? Thinking that I going to cancel my account after this thing start working and I will keep only Ebay... So much loosing today... I have to work tomorrow 12 hours, and I do not have time for this!!!

I would like to ask them for a refund of part of my fees for this - this is a free listing day and have everything already to go on for this week.. one way of ebay not honouring free listings - make it near impossible to post through their software that you are paying for... pretty rubbish service eh?
