Fix DNS Problems

Having Problems with Accessing Ancestry.co.uk?

This is an issue with ancestry and not with any of my devices. I have tried to access the site from iphone, imac, ipad, dell laptop and packard bell laptop...and with chrome, firefox and safari. None of the devices or servers worked. Therefore it is Ancestry's problem that needs to be resolved, or they should allow access for free!

The website keeps freezing - this is not the first time it has happened. I have tried refreshing and emptying cache etc and it doesn't work. You charge enough for your memberships, the least you can do is have a system that operates.

I'm with 3Three.ie broadband in Ireland and also having problems with ancestry.co.uk. Menus are dropping down but nothing happens when clicked on. The help and contact also not operating. My membership is up in 3 weeks time and I had hoped to get some final work done on my tree before I run out of time. Very frustrating considering the cost of it.

Still not able to do anything on Ancestry. Like Pam Shortis, menus are dropping down but nothing happens when clicked on. I'm trying to access from the US so it can't be a BT issue, frustrating!

Once again. The site is working perfectly and I've just logged in and out to check its not limiting log ins or anything. If you cannot access your site it IS a problem with your ISP and their route to Ancestry NOT the Ancestry website. That is what this site checking is telling you. It is BT you need to chasing up and complaining to/about.

Definitely not good enough considering the price they charge per year and to have it fail on a weekend when it should expect higher usage is absolutely not acceptable. Phoned this morning and was told that they did not have a problem and that it was my internet provider who was at fault. Sorry not good enough there is obviously an interface problem with Ancestry and they need to address this AT ONCE or many people will be taking their business elsewhere.

If you are BT broadband customer and you are having problems today accessing ancestry.co.uk its a BT problem. Apparently switching off your BT hub for 30 secs and then on again is reported as fixing the problem. Even if you access other sites ok this still applies. Site is definitely up for non BT users. Hope that helps.

Every time I try to add anything at all, it just freezes and you have to wait for it to recover, and then it just repeats time and time again. I am vastly experienced on this site, and this is just not good enough considering how much you are charging. I have been a customer for over 10 years and am now getting disgusted. Cleared caches, refreshed numerous times. Far better to close down the site for a day or two and get your IT guys to finally sort it out. Could be going to bill you for replacing double glazing following the exit of my laptop at a greatt rate of knots. Ha!

I've been a member of Ancestry.com for over 7 years. I have not found it to be down ofter. and when it is, it's not usually down for this long. Saturday is my genealogy day - bummer. Hope they get it fixed soon.
