We have tried pinging ADDR Web Hosting website using our server and the website returned the above results. If addr.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access ADDR Web Hosting - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

no chat, no phone, no emai from addr. this has been going on for days and they gummed up my credit card. Not good. Ready to move on.

I also can't FTP because I can't log in. No phone numbers work nor does the online customer service. Do NOT use this company.

What ADDR is doing should be against the law, if it is not already, and prosecuted. Like everyone else, I cannot login to my control panel, and yet ADDR just withdrew another automatic payment from my checking account. According to the bank, the only recourse I have is to close my account, and open a new one. It's not the money. It's the principle of the thing.

My mailbox is full of mails with attachments with virus...keep coming in and I don't know how to stop them...Ive emailed, tried to chat and phoned addr.com 9 or 10 hours ago and received no reply...This time i will switch to another server.

Diane Anderson · 29 March 2016 - 18:44

Haven't been able to log on for over a week to update my websites. No chat, no answer to phone calls or emails. Contacted credit card company and blocked any future pymts to ADDR - that takes care of "cancelling" auto-renew. Moving to a new server today.

How do I stop ADDR from collecting atomatic payments from my bank account when I am unable to log into my control panel? I'm ready to move on to another host.

Skip Van Lenten · 27 January 2016 - 13:03

Down again. A once-great company.

Martin Bremmer · 16 January 2016 - 02:01
· · Firefox 43.0 on Windows

I stand corrected. ADDR did not spruce up their website this week. It simply was not loading correctly when I was checking it tonight. Looks like ADDR still holds onto "Ghostship" status. If you have a site hosted by ADDR, please switch to another host even if you must rebuild your site. It is better to do it while you can plan instead of scrambling because the ADDR ship sunk. - Good luck everyone.

Martin Bremmer · 16 January 2016 - 01:48
· · Firefox 43.0 on Windows

ADDR used to host 5 of my client's sites. After ADDR became a ghostship (no customer support, no returned emails, no answering the phone) in 2013 I started transfering my client's sites to other hosts when their CC# had to be renewed. My last site that was hosted by ADDR was just transfered to another host yesterday. ADDR is just like a zombie. It just won't die until all of its customers who are using auto-pay finally drop below what the server rent costs ADDR. Or should I say the only employee/founder of the company. It's sad to watch a once successful company shrivel up and blow away. He even spruced up the ADDR website this week to make it look like a legit company. Good grief!!! This guy probably robs elderly people waiting at bus stops for entertainment. Watch out San Francisco - he's lurking in the shadows.

Steve, I filled a complaint with ICANN after following this link from Joel. https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/name-holder-faqs-2012-02-25-en

Right at the bottom. Hopefully they will be able to help us. The more people who complain, maybe the better luck we will have.

ADDR appears to be back up now. At this moment I can access the ADDR website and my own site now.

Steve Kullen · 15 January 2016 - 02:41

I've had problems with ADDR (no phone answers, no customer support, etc) for a few year. Looked up all known staff - Mike Rosenblum, Anthony Bourov, Leon Elperin, Hope Dawson, Tim Stanley and others and they've scattered. Mike Rosenblum, (former) CEO, has really burried himself. Fortunately I've always paid by check. Now will we have to rebuild our website from scratch? I have html backup but what about the domain name; how does that get freed up (transferred) from a defunct company. Thank you ADDR, where ever you are (now).

Joel, addr.com is my registra, the site is hosted by someone else. Am I screwed? Any ideas? Thanks

Joel Hardy · 15 January 2016 - 01:34
· · Chrome 47.0 on Windows

James. Yes. For exmple my registrar is Joker.com but my website is hosted by ADDR.com. So I guess if you want to transfer to a new registrar you need to get the code from your current registrar. I don't know if you need a code to just transfer to a new website host.

James Watson · 15 January 2016 - 01:11
· · Chrome 47.0 on Mac

Joel, see message from one of those providers....If you want to transfer your .com, .net, .biz, .us, .org or .info domain, you will need to contact your current registrar and request the domain's Authorization Code (also referred to as an auth code, Authinfo code or an EPP code). An authorization code is usually a 6- to 16-character code assigned by the registrar.

My husband and I have a total of four websites hosted by ADDR and all of them are down. Also, I've been trying to upload files to one of the sites all day and cannot connect. 'Tis worrisome to say the least!!!!!

Joel Hardy · 14 January 2016 - 19:19
· · Chrome 47.0 on Windows

I hope they're not out of business. They just updated their registry in November, good until 2018. So they may just be down for techinical problems or maintennce.

Skip Van Lenten · 14 January 2016 - 18:22
· · Chrome 47.0 on Windows

What used to be one of the better hosting sites has become a nightmare for those of us who trusted ADDR to continue to provide outstandiong service, and the handful of people who operated the site in SF have apparently run off with our money. It is no coincidence that they charged my account just before closing shop, so check your creditr card status for future charges. You won't be able to reach anyone at ADDR by phone or e-mail before it's too late.

Martin Bremmer · 14 January 2016 - 17:31
· · Firefox 43.0 on Windows

Looks like Addr.com finally coughed their last breath. Even their own home page does not load anymore. They won't be missed.

Check your billing account, and cancel automatic payments to ADDR or they will continue to take your money.

Cannot access them by phone or chat. Recording says number is out of service. Get the same (out of service) phone message when I call their postal and billing office numbers. I re-directed my website to a new host and they still withdrew the monthly fee from my bank.

They have been bouncing my e-mails for five days and are unreachable. Live chat has been disabled on their site; they don't return phone calls or messages. Problems with them have been infrequent but this one is a topper.

Robert L. Hutt · 11 March 2014 - 20:59

I have tried to call ADDR.COM to no avail as they say it is a non working number. There is no live chat and no one returns any of my emails asking them to call me. They have put a message up on my website that I am delinquent and so advised potential customers. This is an absolute nightmare. How do you reach these people??? Help!

Jeannie Havel · 6 March 2014 - 06:26
United States · Comcast Cable

I've contacted the Office of the Attorney General, Consumer Services division and filed an official report of my experience in trying to contact Addr.com. I received a letter from OAG telling me they will look into it. OK, well, look into then. I contacted the BBB and could not seem to make the guy understand what is going on. I sent a registered letter to Addr.com and have received no response nor receipt from USPS that the letter has been received at Addr.com. Is there anyone who can go to the Campbell, California address to see if anyone is there? At this point, it's probably a vacant lot.

Martha Klein Henrickson · 2 February 2014 - 06:59

they don`t respond... phone goes to a real estate agent not ADDR... even called San Jose office... tons of e-mails for support..no response. Paid in full but cant access one of my sites to change or fix anything. I think they do not exist anymore..two of my sites are up but I cannot get into the account at all. They are rude on the `live chat`tell me to download a different ftp server (which did not work) and will not help.. trying to find a different server now.. fed up with ADDR.. they are also too expensive if you have several sites. and their server is slow..

HOW TO KILL A COMPANY
Due to the lack of service and being unable to contact anyone at ADDR for over six months now, the dozen web sites our company manages are all looking for a new hosting company. We're under negations to find and move several terabytes of data away from ADDR asap..

Jeannie Havel · 15 January 2014 - 20:18
United States · Comcast Cable

I cannot access anyone at addr.com by any means. Of course I get an autoresponder to my emails but never a human being. I haven't had statistics reported since Nov. 1, 2013. Before that, statistics are hit and miss. Consequently, I have lost my advertisers. What is going on there? There is no problem with addr.com debiting my bank account each month.

Joe Gray · 18 November 2013 - 09:08

Website down. Control panel and customer login stopped working as others have complained. Support chat does not work. No answer at support phone#. Emails not answered/returned. Cannot even cancel service... for several weeks!!! Was ok for last 10 years but now: Worst business ever.

John Kuhn · 27 October 2013 - 07:23

I cannot log into ADDR.com. I have been trying for 5 days and have made 6 phone calls and sent 5 e-mails no response from them. Live chat just sends an e-mail with no response from ADDR.com. My website is up and running but I cannot log into the control panel to make changes to my site. What is going on. I am lost because ADDR.com is not responding to any medium, e-mail or phone.

Kitsune Voss · 14 November 2012 - 06:19

Any way of finding out if they are gone? Already been getting e-mails through other accounts telling that there is a problem

Michael Salmond · 14 November 2012 - 05:35

me too - you'd think ADDR would contact it's customers? Nothing from therm.

Vince Seavello · 13 November 2012 - 19:38
·

I host my website at addr.com and it does look like they are inaccessible, probably because of some name service snafu. my website is responding, and I can ssh into my hosted account. The mail server is not accessible by name (mail.addr.com), but the system is responding to ping (IP address 69.90.211.27). email sent to me at my domain is bouncing, so the real world is not able to resolve addr.com names to addresses.

Kagan McLeod · 13 November 2012 - 18:57

Yes, down since about 2pm EST for me. Their phones are down too which is annoying.
