I have been trying to get sense out of 1and1 for the past month since they said I would have to migrate my website to the new web builder. What a disaster, control panel fails, website won't go live, when it does it works on mobile but not PC, then it will work for 10 minutes on PC until you refresh page...then nothing!!! Talk to really bad tech engineers who don't have a clue and are very aggressive when you say the problem is yours...AND NOW 'Unfortunately, this service is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later'. What an absolute piece of CRAP...looking for a new host site...any offers welcome!!!

Don't understand what's happening... Started the process of changing DNS settings for 3 sites to run through cloudflare on Friday. One domain updated straight away... It's now Monday and one of the two remaining sites is unreachable. Both still say "An Update Is Pending". Loads of calls to them and told different things on each call!!! Checking various DNS servers and all say they can't find my site... TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE... Meantime the status page says No Errors on their site!

I have a couple of business and professional shared accounts with 1&1. One of my server has been down for over a week now and have been calling every single day since then. So far the technical support has been useless and their admin totally uncapable to explain what happened, nor provide a work plan and an ETA to fix it. I have been asking to have access to a backup but so far they are keeping my data in hostage. I cannot understand how it is even possible for my server to be down that long with: "dual hosting and automated backup systyems". This is *VERY* disapointing and uncacceptable for a company pretending to offer a professional service and I will pull everything out asap !

I've not been able to connect to my exchange account for 5 days now. No emails, contacts or calendar for my business and 1and 1 won't even pretend to care. They are literally ignoring any attempt to contact them and hanging up when I call. I can not fathom how this is legal or how they are in business. I'm getting database timeouts, maxed database connections, unresponsive gateways, etc. After several attempts, I got access to phpMyAdmin, downloaded one of my databases, and spun it back up on Amazon Web Services as an RDS instance. It got at least one site back up, creeping along, but it looks like there are still web server issues as well. I'm probably going to move everything over to AWS this month. I don't have time to deal with this idiocy.

My site has been down since this morning. This is completely unacceptable. I spoke with a customer service rep this morning who asked for my customer ID. When I went to give it to him, he put me on hold. After being on hold for 10 minutes they hung up on me. I wish I could grab the guy by the neck that put me on hold! After calling back I spoke with John (apparently all of their foreign CS agents are John) who told me their techs were working on it and it will be fixed but he could not give me a time frame. These guys are terrible and I will switching my site immediately.

We're having the same issue. Our main site has been down for 24h and all our other sites are intermittently down or slow. 1and1 is having a big issue with their mysql database connections. Many CMS sites databases are unreachable. This is a big problem for a lot of us. They're tech support has been talking to me about this and have acknowledged that this is happening.

We will be moving our sites most likely. This is too much.

It's June 11th, and my website has been down for the past 2 days. No responses from 1and1. They didn't even have the decency to put up a message somewhere that they are having issues. Very unprofessional. This is 14th time my website is down in the last 4 months.
When I write them, I get robo-email and they don't even seem to read what I write!!!
When I call, they make excuses and don't know anything. Hard to understand too as Their Filipino CS agents don't speak good English or know anything!!
Last time I needed help with database transfer, one rep didn't even know the difference between byte and kilobyte!!!!!

I have problem from Sunday (4 days): INTERNAL SERVER ERROR, ERROR DATABASE CONNECTION and very very very slow response. According to tech support "...This is a bug on the system that is already known and reported to our developers. At the moment, we do not have an estimated time frame for the fix however rest assured that we are currently working on a resolution...". There has been no http or ftp access to any of the websites hosted with 1and1 for the last 7.5 hours. There has been no reply to our email. They have a recorded message that says they're having problems, but there's no clue as to the nature of the problems nor when they're going to fix them. It is possible to access the hosting space through the WebSpace Explorer, though, which seems strange.

Last week, about June 3, my 1&1 Dual Advanced website started running extremely slow. Then I stared receiving MySQL Server Has Gone Away errors from my vBulletin CMS software. It has worsened to the point of near inaccessiblity at this point, and a MediaWiki I run is slowing down as well. Support is off-base, with ludicrous non-related suggestions and lack of response. And I just got done paying for 3 more years of service. Maybe Better Business Bureau time, I've about had it with these assclowns.

Getting forbidden error "You don't have permission to access / on this server."
Nobody can't access in the company. We share same ip. Don't understand why.
Anybody having same issue?

1and1 webmail has been up/down for the past 2 hours now - and if I contact support, I get the same old song and dance - "we're not aware of any issues, and can't duplicate your problem, sorry. Please reboot your computer." They must think we're idiots. Unfortunately, I have no control over having to use this service, because it's dictated by my clients.

I keep getting my e-mails back with the message "Client host [] blocked using Spamhaus Blocklist, mail from IP banned" Obviously this 1&1-server is used for spam. Will they fix it?

Our site is down. 1&1 say it's a back end problem with one of their server very slow so the web site wont launch. Could take 24h before they have an anwer

1&1 down for me right now. It was ok first thing this morning (I'm in the UK) but now the website won't even open at all, it just takes ages then says 'this webpage is not available.' All other sites are working fine.

My 1and1 email service has been down for 12hours now. Also not able to login on the site, and the number to call for international customers also does not work. One is asked to hold on for transfer to another extension... no reply. Our website that is hosted through them is also down. This is very frustrating... they also do not reply my email to support@1and1.com

Our email traffic has been blocked since 1100 EST yesterday. Called and get the standard "We apologize and our service administrators are working on it". Their IP addresses are being blocked as spam by bl.spamcop.net. This is an unreliable hosting service (In Germany) and we are moving elsewhere as soon as I can can arrange it

My 1and1 dedicated server is also down. I called them and they said they were having internet problems and that it is their top priority to correct the problem ASAP and it should be working within an hour.

I'm getting a "Service Unavailable - DNS failure" when trying to reach the main 1&1 website. My VPS is completely unresponsive and the 1&1 Status page (status.1and1.com) shows "All systems operating normally". Apparently we have different definitions of "operating normally".

The only difficulty I've experienced, and only intermittantly, is getting "timed out" when I am making revisions to website pages. All in all, 1 & 1 has presented an excellent experience for this rookie, with abundant technical help when needed. My dilemma is "not knowing what I don't know" to maximize the website's performance and ROI. Ideas?

15 of my sites have been down for 2 days now. An email to 2, 500 users with a link to RSVP for an event was sent out and no one can get to the site. DNS cannot be changed or updated and I am not able to transfer out to a different register. Please stay away from this company!
