1&1 Email doesn't seem to be working, get as far as login then dialog box states ... Your session has expired. Please log in again. (Error-ID: -xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx) been happening since yesterday- ridiculous poor service, expected customer service to issue status / email !!!

all of my site is gone right now, second time in two weeks that some sort of error has happened. I imagine after a third incident I will explore new hosting options, but cant imagine how much time and or money it will cost to migrate all my content. oh well

1and1.com seems to be down. All our website don't work from 1 hour. http://www.metallirari.com. Why? What is happening?

1and1 webmail and control panel are back now, but my main email account appears to be blown away - as though it never existed. I've never had anything like this happen before. I do hope 1and1 takes responsibility and restores my account (the first person I spoke to this morning tried to suggest that I may have deleted my account somehow).

The login system seems to be busted. I have an active FTP link which is (currently) working, but new ftp and ssh attempts time out. Control panel comes up, shows three lines and hangs. Came up briefly with a full panel, then when I went to SQL admin it went down again with a server-unavailable error.

Of course, my customer left it to the last minute to switch to SQL5 and only told me yesterday! Don't panic ... still 35 hours of SQL4 to go !!

Can't access phpmyadmin!

1and1 email is down for past 5 hours. Webmail is down as well. Customer Service confirms that there is a major issue going on right now but status.1and1.com shows all systems functional.

All of my sites were not responding for at least 5 hours today... they are still a bit sluggish

all my shared sites have been unreachable for a couple of hours, maybe longer, I just started to check, 1and1 support is blaming a firewall problem,
somehow all AT&T and Comcast access to sites is being blocked, admin panel is open but not sites, no estimate of repair time from support.

Checked a few sites through at start of day, then tried to login to joomla CMS and sites on my server no visible. Control check is to view a few sites on cell phone and all sites are good including real-time data. So I've been blocked for trying to use my own server CMS system.

I am continuously receiving this error! what can be the problem ??

mywebsite thru 1and1 is not responsive and support has no idea if there servers are up or down. You would think a web hosting company would know whether or not a server is up or down.

I also can't access any of my 80 sites, - no access, seriously slow and hacked off!!!! Any body interested in sharing a high end, secure, reliable dedicated server with leaseweb.com (europe) (fastest of the fastest), i'm only looking for people who are serious and want to have the best of the best. Need 10 people who are willing to commit to at least 100 euro's a month. Would also be good if anyone has experience in managing servers.

I have just received notification from 1and1 support that their IP addresses are being blocked by a number of ISP's.

They apologised and said they are working on a fix. I only discovered this issue after a number of clients complained to me they were getting thrown out of their CMS. 1and1 should have informed account admins in the first instance not stay quiet and wait for us to enquire.

It makes me mad that they haven't contacted everyone to say this is what they are doing. I can see my site via a proxy (e.g. http://www.hidemyass.com ) but can't access it directly over my wifi. I can on my phone via 3G but get blacklisted when I try to login to the CMS.

Looks like they just opened it back up I am now able to access ftp info and admin on my joomla sites. hope they stay up.

I as well am locked out of my sites using my home wireless, I tried my cell wifi hotspot and could access the site but as soon as I tried to log into the admin page I got blocked. Now I can't even access the front end with my wifi hot spot. So as a previous com-mentor indicated they must be blacklisting ip's. bummerrrr..

There's a message on the 1&1 status page about hacking attempts on CMS-based sites (Wordpress, Joomla etc.). I can access my site, but as soon as I try to login, I can't access the site nor any other 1&1 site for a period of time. Their status page says "...we immediately implemented countermeasure.."

I think what they're doing is temporarily blacklisting the IP address of any user who attempts to access a CMS admin login page. I've called their support number and asked if they're doing this and they neither confirmed nor denied. I've suggested strongly that they need to make it clear on their status page what they're doing, or email all their customers.

All of the sites on my hosting are down as well -- can't access via FTP or HTTP. When I initially contacted 1&1 I was told to "clear my browser cache" and try again. Are you kidding me?!? Finally talked to a semi-intelligent person this morning who blamed it on my ISP. Funny -- since I can hit every OTHER website in the universe, just not mine. Time to find another host...

Grrrr. 1&1 webmail is down again. Eventually got through to the support team who advised that "there is an open ticket" and that the problem will be "solved shortly". Unfortunately, they could not advise on a time scale but, until then, we will all have to put up with being disconnected sporadically and then waiting for another 20-30 minutes before it will let you successfully log back in again.

Just for info, I am UK based and have been experiencing log in (and staying logged in) problems for around the last 10 days or so.

11.21 a.m. UK time. On 5th attemp got through to helpline. Email and control panel for website are both still down due a "small" technical issue.

We've had problems getting into our emails for the best part of a month now - we put our log in details into webmailcluster but it more often than not it won't let us log in

I spoke with 1and1 sales today. The rep told me they "had been hacked by someone in China" and that was the reason for the problems they are experiencing.

Every time I try to get into my 1 and 1 information it says the server is down. According to this site it is functioning properly. I say not... help.

I emailed Support and Billing@ and they did not respond either. i tried to email the CEO as well but his email rejected. Goes to show when you get too big, you start to suck as you keep the cash and do not hire the right people to run the company. 1and1 will send out a sales email asking if you want to purchase more services, but when it comes to outages they think we wont notice and just let it slide... They should Fire the SOB in charge of Customer Service and Network Ops already.

Users need a notification of a disruption in service. It is not a good business practice by 1&1 to not admit this disruption. Am I right?

1and1.com has been down since 8:10am EST, while I was actually on it. It's not any of my computers issues or line. Even access through iPhone 4G connection has a problem accessing them.

Continues to be down, only webmail is up (which is a different URL). Websites HOSTED by 1and1 are still up. But admin site fails.

I just signed up for a web hosting plan with 1and1 and its down. That's pretty great.

I've been with 1and1 for over 13 years, and honestly, this is the first time that I have not been able to login to make changes when needed. Service has been awesome; just hope it's not down for long. I'm in BC, Canada.

www.1and1.com down from Verizon FIOS. But it works from cell phone when not connected through wifi. So the problem seems to be with Verizon FIOS Or problem with DNS

Issues on .com domain returning 'Error establishing a database connection' but 1&1 systems seem to be up.

I too am having a problem with my 1and1 email being rejected as spam. I have one domain rejecting since yesterday morning. Support said it would be another 24-48 hours before the IP Blocking issue is completely resolved.

Email is an issue on 1and1 with mail reports coming back as spam, ip address etc mainly to hotmail accounts. I got the below email from them today:
"Our mailservers are having technical glitches causing performance issues on our mailsystem. At the moment, incoming emails are not lost but they will instead be stored and will be delivered to your mailbox once the mailserver is restored to its full functionality. All outgoing emails are not processed which means that your emails may not be sent. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We currently do not have an estimated time frame for its resolution however, rest assured that our personnels from the data center are already working to resolve this the soonest possible time. Thank you for bearing with us. "

We are getting quite a few emails we send out via 1&1 rejected as spam, but it seems to be the ip addresses of the 1&1 servers rather than out domains that are the proplem, has anyone else had an issue?

Control panel is back up now, but any changes made to DNS through it do not get sent to 1and1 DNS servers. Stupid cheap pile-em-high hosting companies. More hassle than they are worth.

I noticed just after lunch yesterday that my site was down and email not coming through. I checked my DNS settings and they'd been hacked! This maintenance is too much of a coincidence IMO.

Part of website says they are doing maintenance and refers you to service status update for progress but it says everything is functional

According to tech support at 1and1.com - at this moment you can not send emails to recipients at : Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Comcast (i am not sure but it seems like it's at least 80% of the US email accounts).. and the funny part is that when i asked when this issue has started they are telling the the issue has only started earlier today, explaining them that i am having this issue for the last 3 days...

email.1and1.com getting error 500 - Internal server error. IAMP is not responding

Information regarding the network interference in our data center on Nov. 26, 2012

Due to an incident in one of our data centers, we experienced an outage beginning at 12:30PM EST which caused several of our services to be temporarily unavailable on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.

The outage was caused by a failure in an internal network component. The affected cluster of routers was a high-availability system of a well-known manufacturer. The incident was resolved at 5 PM EST, at which time all services regained full accessibility.

The incident caused several services and databases to be inaccessible or only accessible to a limited extent. Potentially all customers trying to access applications that rely on these services and databases were affected during the timeframe mentioned. Among those services were the 1&1 website, 1&1 Control Panel, and email solutions. There is no evidence that the outage could have caused any loss of data, nor is there any indication that the malfunction was caused by an attack.

We are currently working with the manufacturer of the affected routing system to analyze why the redundant back-up router was not activated as expected, thereby necessitating a time-consuming manual fault-clearing by our system administrators. We apologize unreservedly for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Problems like this have not happened in a while; although, it was once very regular for 1&1 to be down a few years back. This company has been on a big advertising push lately signing up new members by the boatload. If they are unable to maintain server continuity on important days like Cyber Monday all those advertising dollars spent will be for nothing. Maybe that money would have been better spent on new servers or improved server support.

There are other vehicles to login into your emails. Here's a resource I've used for years whenever my IP have email technical problems mail2web.com.

3 of my sites been down for a while now... annoyingly 'status.1and1.co.uk' still saying "All systems functional" - Very frustrating on 'Cyber Monday'.

We have been dealing with 1and1 for the last 7 years. it is certainly the worst hosting provider right now with the most insignificant tech. support. We started at our costs to migrate our customers to other hosting providers. I won't mention any name in here since I wish to keep this post as credible as possible. My advice ? Run ! Run away fast from 1and1. They are reputation killers as you will never meet anywhere else...

.co.uk domain is returning a 500 internal server error, worked fine over an hour ago.

I won't waste more money calling their profitable premium rate help line. I'm sure they are aware of the problem.
