We have tried pinging TeamViewer website using our server and the website returned the above results. If teamviewer.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access TeamViewer - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Have been unable to use Teamviewer for about 24 hours, and yep, we're on Bigpond. Cannot access their website, or use the program. No issues with browsing other websites. Not happy, need to do some work!

Call Telstra to suspend billing of your Bigpond or Telstra Direct account until fixed.

Teamviewer is assigning an ip address instead of a partner id and not connecting - this has been happening all day. I am with Telstra

Teamviewer down here in Melbourne all day. Cannot access their website. It is definitely an alien invasion or a sinister North Korean plot!

Can confirm it's down if connecting via Telstra. Just put two rules in our firewall to force the traffic over our second WAN connection (TPG ADSL). I just guessed at the IPs based on what I could see my machine using. 2x subnets - 37.252.0.0/255.255.0.0 and 80.79.0.0/255.255.0.0. Hope this helps someone else

Trying to connect to Team Viewer; same problem says it can't connect

To Aussies who can't get Teamviewer to log in or visit their website - it looks like it's a routing issue somewhere in Germany. My Telstra connection at home in Perth can't open the Teamviewer website but my work connection (using a different ISP) can.

A traceroute from home shows the path going from Perth to Sydney via Telstra then over to the US via telstraglobal.net before landing in Germany. After that, the path goes to a router at Deutsche Telekom where it stops.

Doing the same thing from my work, it takes a path from Perth to Sydney then over to the US and then on to Deutsche Telekom in Germany - but to a different router IP address from where the Telstra connection ends up. It then makes it past that router and on to Host Europe (who I'm guessing host the Teamviewer website).

So it looks like the fault isn't within Telstra, it's within Deutsche Telekom somewhere. There's probably not a lot that Telstra can do about that since it's not part of their network and not under their control. Hopefully the folks in Germany will fix the routing at some point and we'll get access to Teamviewer again...

have been trying to get into team viewer via big pond for over an hour. My ID no doesn't appear and I get a message saying check connection, but I can access other sites. Judging by other comments, it looks like the problem is with Telstra

Ok. The issue is with Telstra Bigpond, not with TeamViewer. TeamViewer.com is accessible, but only through an ISP that doesn't use Telstra. I've tried accessing it via mobile (Virgin & Allphones) and can get to it fine, but can't access the website using Bigpond.

James Heathershaw · 22 April 2014 - 17:10

Team Viewer will start but I can not log in as I receive a Proxy error (I don't have or need a proxy so nothing is set in Team Viewer). There is also an error at the bottom of the Team Viewer screen that says 'Not ready, please check your connection', but I can access all other sites I need to on the internet. This has been happening for the last 12 or so hours.
