Can't Access Pandora - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Pandora plays only 2 or 3 seconds of a song and then goes to the next song and repeats the process until finally it plays a song all the way through. It also takes a lot longer than usual for a song to load. Frustrating!

It's the weirdest thing for Pandora. All songs, on all stations, sounds like they're being played in a key lower, by a cover band. It's slower. Makes no sense. Not skipping or anything, just slower and in a lower key. It's strange. Can't find any reason for it. We listen through our Roku (not on the computer). No error messages. Just weird slow.

Pandora is the only site I have issues with... Immediately after a commercial plays, song plays 2 seconds and skips to next song, plays 2 seconds and skips to next song, plays 2 seconds and skips to next song, song plays 2 seconds and skips to next song, plays 2 seconds and skips to next song, plays 2 seconds and skips to next song.... you get the idea. Then, last night after removing headphones, no sound, reboot, clear cache, cookies, temp files, whole nine yards, still no solution. Chrome, no sound. IE, no sound. Safari, no sound. Firefox, no sound.. rebooted again. No sound. All other sites work fine.. pay you $4.99 a month?... ppplllease, dream on!

Chelsey Cheairs · 19 March 2014 - 04:37

Pandora is screwing up MAJORLY right now. The site loaded when I went to it and began playing a song, but halfway through it just stopped. I checked my connection to make sure nothing went wrong and everything was fine. I paused it and tried to play it again, but nothing. I refreshed it and it refused to load - it just stayed on the page with PANDORA in big letters. Waited about 10 minutes before refreshing it again, where it took about 3 minutes to finally load. Song played all the way through, but it took a while for the next song to play and when it did, it suddenly stopped about 30 secs in. I paused it and hit play again and it suddenly went to the next song. That one played all the way through, but now it won't load the next song. This is very irritating.

Pandora has taken a hike again. I can change stations but nothing comes up in the play window at all.

Upon upgrading my OS from XP to Win 7 (and to IE 11) Pandora stopped loading my music stations. Pandora worked if I used Chrome. No explanation and no suggestions on what I or we can do to contact them or correct it. They don't give a shit apparently. I had the same problem with my Kindle Fire - music would skip or just play for a second or two - opened the drop-down menu on Pandora (upper right) and selected "quit", then reopened it. It's been playing fine now for 2-3 hours!

Over the past two days Pandora app (Virgin Mobile - Samsung Victory) loads, it even plays their video ad but then it sits there loading a song and it doesn't play anything, not even trying different stations. I've unistalled it and reinsatlled it without success. Finally yesterday afternoon it played for about an hour and then this morning back to the same problem. This is happening in all methods, 4G, 3G, WiFi... anyone else having this problem?

Pandora skips to another song in the middle of a song that is already playing. Can even hear it stutter through the current song that is playing.

Try a different browser, when I switched from Internet Explorer to Firefox Mozilla Pandora started working.

Last night and today Pandora keeps skipping one song to the next and I don't press anything. There is no sound, either, even though the volume is up on Pandora and my computer.

I can't load pandora from the google play app store. I deleted it to try to rectify the connection issues I have been experiencing and now i can't reload it on my android phone. Really getting tired of the crap I paid for.

Mine was down too. I read all the comments, then saw the trouble shoot stuff on this page. With the pandora splash page up and my browser bar highlighting pandora.com I tried the ctrl + f5 trick and it refreshed reloaded and fired up ! Thanks !

I can't get past the splash screen on IE or Chrome - cleared cache/history/cookies on both = same result. :-( Day goes so slow without my tunage.

Just getting the blue screen. Works on my iphone. Happening to others in the office here, not just my computer.
