Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

OK everything seems to be up and running well. Am now able to add records pages. Didn't want to be unkind and not let you know that everything seems to be working fine. THANKS!!!

Still unable to add a records page. Can add a new timeline though, which accesses all of the records, so this is frustrating. How long will it be before all the bugs are worked out of MyCanvas?

Despite clearing my cache, I still can not upload a record page to my project. I even tried creating a "new project", but no records pages would load. Called Ancestry customer support and they say MyCanvas will be in the office tomorrow...

If it's taking over 9 days to fix, doesn't that suggest it's actually broken completely? I just wish would have said in the first place that they have terminal issues with it and that we would be lucky to have it up and running in a fortnight. Then at least we wouldn't be trying it over and over desperately hoping it is finally working again. I'm trying to finish a major project for a big birthday coming up. I was actually hours from sending it for publishing when the site went down. Dammit. I'd edited 112 of the 120 pages and now it's all going to be too late for the birthday. Just hope they finally fix it and it's not all lost. And please give us more than occasional updates ancestry...
