We have tried pinging MailChimp website using our server and the website returned the above results. If mailchimp.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Browser Related Problems

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

I cannot access my mailchimp account... I receive a message that says my account is under maintenance and to try back later. It has been almost 2 days now and no access. I have tired to contact support several times with no sucess, not even a reply back to let me know that my request for help was received. How can I contact a live person or live chat to get help....?

Can't get on right now from the UK, but isitdownrightnow is able to ping successfully. Might be that parts of the world are blocked as part of the mitigation against the ddos attack. Have to try a proxy server next...

Edit: Workaround found! Various subdomains seem to work fine while www.mailchimp.com does not (from here). Try login.mailchimp.com and take it from there - I found everything worked smoothly just now.

Update: Problems continue in the UK accessing mailchimp.com through Virgin Media, at least on Chrome and Firefox. Strangely IE10 works on my PC (may be a different DNS setup?), and access through 3's 3G network is fine on all browsers. I expect some others who don't have access right now will find this gets restored as your network's DNS periodically refreshes.
