Can't Access Linux Mint - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

I really need Mint now. So I googled for a mirror and I found I looked for 17.3 and I'm downloading the iso. Is there any risk whit this ?

It's 5:38am eastern time. I do not have access to the Linux mint website. I got a page that said that they know and are working on it.

Apparently something pretty big happened to the website, because right now it's replaced with the Apache2 Server Test page, which normally only shows up when you run a web server for the very first time...

In case it helps someone else:
- Google "mint mate 17.3 download" without the quotes (substitute the version you want)
- Click the down arrow next to the site ""
- Select "Cached"
- Find the link for the one you want, for example 17.3 mate beta ""
- Copy the link address
- Paste that into google
- Click the down arrow next to the site matching the address (should be the first one)
- Select "Cached"
- Click the Torrent link

So even with the site down you can get it.

Linux Mint project website is down for me on April 27th, 2014. Please fix this as I am looking to install the LMDE (Linux Mint on top of Debian Edition ISO) as it supports GPT HDD partition tables.

I've had a time with Linux Mint Petra 16 and just found out a little less an hour ago that due to my HDD containing Windows 7 formatted with the new GUID GPT Partition Type I would have to uninstall Windows 7 and do a workaround method to get it to work. LMDE is a God send. I want it asap.
