Can't Access Authorize Net - Troubleshooting Instructions

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

It almost worked for a couple of seconds, about five minutes ago... but now it's died again. I guess they're trying to fix it -- it must be a fairly serious issue on their end. The current error is a 503: Server Unavailable, as returned by the API call I'm making.

Just spoke to authorize.net, they said about 10-15 merchant providers were affected, including First Data of Omaha. They're claiming the issue should be resolved today and 2 days worth of batches will be completed today after your normal batch out time.

authorize.net is currently down

Sean Powell · 26 April 2013 - 13:27

Your verify seals are down and hanging the entire page from completing for over 20 seconds.

This is so bad I have to remove your seal from my footer just to get the page load normally. You're seal is a 404.

Seems like your entire "verify." subdomain is not responding. This is actually messing up the authorize.net website and preventing it from loading normally as well. I'm sure this is affecting thousands of websites. Please at least address the issue on here somwhere so we can feel like our credit card processor is not being hacked?

Thanks!
