We have tried pinging Aimoo website using our server and the website returned the above results. If aimoo.com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress...

Can't Access Aimoo - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page. For instructions choose your browser :

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

So much for the upgrade to make everything more stable, when they say they are gonna fix it, they really mean, screw it up again.

I had the same issue, Elizabeth. It started during the big week of Aimoo being down. For my work computer I had to contact a network administrator to ask him to enter the site as safe. Your solution will depend on your anti-virus program, but you should be able to go in yourself on a home system to list aimoo as a trusted site.

Elizabeth Downs · 18 August 2013 - 19:50
United States · Time Warner Cable

My anti virus is listing aimoo.com as hostile and malicious. What is going on?

I would suggest perhaps going to the aimoo community facebook page if you've got questions. I doubt they're going to see them here.

As well as this: we all have members in our forums that we can't contact -- I made a FB group for my forum to keep them updated on what might be going on in the event Aimoo goes down.

Bonnie Whitaker · 5 August 2013 - 15:18
United States · Time Warner Cable

I am getting really frustrated. I cannot contact my members. What is the Go Daddy crap???

Erin Swaim · 5 August 2013 - 14:32
United States · CenturyLink

GoDaddy is the domain host for Aimoo. Your forums are fine, it's not for sale. Some people are getting that it's for sale, others are saying that they're able to see the forum. They're just having issues with the domain right now. No big deal.

Ben Ehrets · 5 August 2013 - 14:29
United States · TDS Telecom

Hoping for an explanation for the Go Daddy mess. I was patient waiting, but this makes me nervous about my forum's content.

Cindy Cannon · 5 August 2013 - 12:39

I am being taken to Go Daddy page. Is Aimoo gone? I miss playing in the psp groups there :(

Terry Floud · 5 August 2013 - 10:45

Pat Hollands · 5 August 2013 - 10:45

Oh come on. if the FBI the British Piolice and any other service cannot completely stop how on earth is Aimoo going too. All that person did was give thise evil ******** time to start up on another domain.. Aimoo do all they can, I along with others trawlled every group on Aimoo to find these people spent hours, .. so please do not say Aimoo dont listen or care

Göran Winter · 5 August 2013 - 09:37

My "Bushwalker's Rest" site has been down for OVER 4 days, now...

@ those who claim Aimoo is "the worst forum host possible!" ~ not quite.. As bad as this may seem, I have encountered a lot worse out there !!

I just hope they're back up again ASAP.

The Aimoo techs are working hard trying to get this problem solved. Please be patient. If you need to be mad at someone, be mad at the person that caused the damage by posting things that were so offensive that it caused us all to lose our service.

this happened before not to long ago. it was down for about four days or so. maybe... it be back. if not. we all still have facebook :-)

Anders Johansson · 3 August 2013 - 17:32

I can confirm that the servers are indeed up and running and conducting business as usual. Unless you know exactly what you are doing you won't be able to navigate any forums though.

For those of you who don't speak tech speak it suffices to say that aimoo.com has been forcibly removed from Internet for good, until they fix their issues with spammers and abuses.

For those of you who do speak tech speak you can do a simple whois lookup and you will see (among a wall of text output):
root@localhost:~ #whois aimoo.com
.... ....
Tech Email: aimooserver@gmail.com
Name Server: NS1.SUSPENDED-FOR.SPAM-AND-ABUSE.COM
Name Server: NS2.SUSPENDED-FOR.SPAM-AND-ABUSE.COM

What this means in practical terms is that anyone trying to query the address for anything in the aimoo.com domain will be sent to the big black hole that returns nothing. If anyone happens to know the IP address to their servers they are probably still up and running, you just can't reach them by name (*.aimoo.com)

Follow up to my previous post:
The relevant parts of the whois information is the tech and admin contacts.
If you want your forums back online it is up to Mr Hu yang to clear their spammer/abuse issues with their Internet registrar, which in this case is GoDaddy.com.

Following is the relevant whois data, with all the cruft removed:
