We have tried pinging ABC News website using our server and the website returned the above results. If is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Please note that pinging a site tells you that that server is up, but that does NOT mean that is it accepting connections. in other words: is plugged in.
The web server on is down.

Over 24 hrs now without I tried IE instead of firefox which also timed out, and invoked the troubleshooter which told me:
"Problems found: website ( is online but isn't responding to connection attempts."
So its not my browser, nor DNS. What is it?

Ok...over 7 hours now. Still no DNS is doing this:

It translates the to, but both provide a very good, immmediate response.

Was on the ABC news site about 5 minutes ago. I can get to the site and all of the banners and tabs load propaerly but the site also says "This site is unavailable."
