Can't Access 123-Reg - Troubleshooting Instructions

If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:

Browser Related Problems

Force a full refresh for the site. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Fix DNS Problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows - (Start > Command Prompt > type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter). For details choose your operating system :

If you can access a website at office or from a 3G network yet it's not working on your computer, it is a good idea to use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.

Check our help page for step-by-step instructions on how to change your DNS.

Sophia Simensky · 14 June 2016 - 12:20

I am frequently getting the same message for "login or password incorrect" almost weekly, and i cannot log in to my email. When i do get through, it is just stuck on loading and I cant view emails. It seems to be a recurring issue...

Down again! Usual wrong password and such. The MD of this company should be exposed and sacked.

Heather Walker · 27 May 2016 - 15:07
· · Firefox 46.0 on Windows

I've only been able to access my email account in fits and starts for days now. Totally unacceptable. When I eventually get through to Customer Service they deny anything is wrong at their end when its obvious on here so many people are having the same trouble. Not a professional way to run a business. I'm now looking elsewhere.

Al James · 26 May 2016 - 13:47

Here we go again. More business sabotage. My online programme finishes at the weekend and then I'm moving every website and every email address I have. 123 reg have been atrocious over the past 3 weeks. Never ever using them again.

Morag Pringle · 25 May 2016 - 09:44

I'm having the same problems almost daily with the emails crashing and then not allowing me to log back in, saying my email address and password are incorrect, when they are not. Can never get through to support on the phone always left in a queue for up to half an hour, which is where I draw the line and hang up.
Unacceptable and will be looking to move all accounts in the very near future!!!

Sara Westcott-Nisbet · 25 May 2016 - 09:37
· · Internet Explorer 11.0 on Windows

Email working this morning for about an hour then suddenly went down with the usual message my password incorrect when it is not. Currenly looking at changing all websites and emails as this has been going on for couple of months and is unacceptable. We receive no apologies and it is detrimental to our company.

ZoĆ« Leigh Gadd · 18 May 2016 - 20:42
· · Safari 9.0.2 on Mac

I do not like to publically rant but this is unbelievable. I am only glad it is not only me experiencing this (I thought I was going crazy)! I can do next to nothing with my account & last night sent numerous emails to applicants for a forthcoming audition. I cannot continue any conversations or even access my webmail account or control panel; password issues so I can't get in, it doesn't even recognise my username. Lines are only open until 7pm. What's the answer?! Can't send/receive on my Mac or phone and can't log in to webmail directly. So, so, frustrating! Can't even log in to the acccount to transfer to get off the horrible site. As soon as this is possible 123-reg will not see my business for dust!!

Heather Worrall · 18 May 2016 - 20:40
· · Chrome 50.0 on Windows

yet again 123 jeopardise my business. 4th time down in a week. Emails lost, sent history missing, intermittent connection. Makes me laugh that their status update says 'minimal disruption'. Who are they kidding? It's causing chaos. I'm moving every account I have. This isnt good enough.

Jane Shepherd · 18 May 2016 - 20:06

123-reg.co.uk............its a joke, user name and or password wrong...NO. 123 need to get their act together I am looking for an alternative.Absolute rubbish no communication no explanation.I have tried to access my account on 3 different PC's and I know it's there fault, mind you it's always been bad, but not as bad as now since they changed over to the new system they are running. My business cannot afford to run with these cowboys any longer.I am off at the earliest opportunity.

Simon Ferris · 18 May 2016 - 17:58

This has been going on for a few weeks. We have 3 email addresses that we can not access from time to time. We have lost orders and we are having to work late because we can not work during the day. 123 reg are useless. Compensation?

Mark Zawila Photographer · 18 May 2016 - 17:40
· · Safari 9.1 on Mac

This is just ridiculous!! this email issue is causing me no end of problems with my business which relies on email, I have heard nothing from 123 reg in way of explanation/apology, I called 2 days ago and they told me it would be fixed....havent been able to get through since
